# Privacy Policy - Football Play Card
### 1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Championship App Development, LLC ("Football Play Card," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares personal information through our website, web app, and iOS and Android apps (the "Platform"), and the choices you have. Terms defined in our [Terms of Service](https://footballplaycard.com/terms-of-service?hsLang=en) have the same meaning here.
**Key points**
- Children under 13 may not have accounts. Coaches and parents may add limited information about a child player to a team (Section 6).
- We do not sell Player Data. We do not use it for advertising.
- Player, parent and follower accounts carry no advertising or session-recording tools, and our mobile apps carry no ad pixels.
- Team chat is visible to coaches, is not private, and is kept for safety as Section 7 describes.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time (Section 8.1).

### 2. Information We Collect

We do not ask for your device's location. Phones can embed location in videos you upload; we remove it on upload. We do not ask coaches, parents or followers for a date of birth. A player accepting an invite gives a birth month and year; we keep only whether they are 13 or older. Coaches set each team's age bracket. We ask Coaches not to enter health or other sensitive information about players (Terms Section 8.3).
### 3. How We Use Information
- **Provide the Platform:** accounts, teams, schedules, chat, notifications, video, live streaming, recordings, quizzes and payments.
- **Service messages:** invitations, event reminders and updates, push notifications, receipts and account notices.
- **Safety:** review reports, moderate content, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and investigate misuse.
- **AI features:** when you import a play image, we send it to our AI provider (Amazon Bedrock) to turn it into an editable diagram. When a player's short quiz answer doesn't exactly match the expected answer, we send the question, the expected answer and the player's answer, without their name, to grade it. Amazon Bedrock does not use what we send to train models.
- **Support:** answer your requests, including with AI-assisted support tools (Section 4.3).
- **Improvement:** usage analytics and feedback.
- **Marketing:** to coaches and organizations, by email and text message, with an unsubscribe link in every email and an opt-out in every text.
- **Security, fraud prevention and legal compliance:** protecting the Platform, checking free-trial eligibility, responding to payment disputes, and meeting legal obligations.
**AI and model training.** We may use content on the Platform, such as plays, playbooks, quiz questions (not players' answers), and videos uploaded or recorded on or after the effective date of this policy, to develop and train the AI models that power our features. Before training, we remove names, email addresses and other contact details from the information we use, and we remove the sound from video. People can still be recognizable in video; we do not identify them and do not use facial recognition. When content is deleted from the Platform, we delete it from our training data within 90 days, or sooner where the law requires; we don't ordinarily retrain models already trained on it, unless the law requires us to. We never train on chat messages or private notes.
### 4. Who Can See and Receive Information
**4.1 Within your team.**

Live streams and game recordings can be opened only by signed-in team members and the team's Parent/Guardian and Family & Friend followers, never by Fans or the public, and each playback link works for a limited time (Section 4.2). Watching requires a State Champion or higher plan, through your team or your own subscription.
If a member leaves or is removed from a team, their access to its chat, schedule and videos ends. Messages and videos they posted stay in the team's history, under their name, until a coach deletes them or we remove them for breaking our Terms. Announcements show the team how many members have seen them, not who.
**4.2 Outside your team.**
- **Scoreboard link.** If a Coach shares a live scoreboard link, anyone with it can see team names, the game's title, date and time, the score and game status. It names no players.
- **Your calendar link.** Anyone with your personal calendar subscription link can see your team schedule, including locations and event notes. Do not share it. You can reset it from the calendar subscription screen, which turns off the old link.
- **Video links.** Uploaded video plays through links that expire after about an hour; game recordings play through links that last 4 hours.
- **Shared play links.** If a coach shares a play by link, anyone with the link can see it, including names or initials on the diagram and any video attached to it, until the coach turns the link off.
- **League fees.** When you pay a league or team fee, the league or team receives your name, email and payment details through Stripe.
- **Integrations you choose.** When you connect another service, such as GoRout, and send it plays, that service handles them under its own terms.
**4.3 Service providers.** We use service providers to host data, process payments, send email and push notifications, run support chat (including AI-assisted support), analyze usage and provide AI features. They may use personal information only to provide services to us. The current list is at [footballplaycard.com/sub-processors](https://footballplaycard.com/sub-processors?hsLang=en).
**4.4 Advertising partners.** We use advertising partners to measure and target our ads. On our website and in the web accounts of Coaches, League Owners and other team staff, they use cookies and pixels that can collect information about your activity on our site and across other sites over time. When you start a trial or buy from us, we also share your hashed email, contact details and purchase information with them to measure our ads and build ad audiences. We do not use advertising tools in Player, Parent/Guardian, Family & Friend or Fan accounts, or in our mobile apps. To be excluded from our ad audiences, email privacy@footballplaycard.com. You can also block cookies in your browser and adjust your ad settings with each ad platform.
**4.5 Organizations and people who aren't users.** If a League Owner or school asks for a team's communications as part of a safety or conduct investigation, we may provide the relevant records after verifying the request and the requester's authority. If you appear in a team's video but don't use Football Play Card, such as a player on the opposing team or a spectator, email safety@footballplaycard.com with the team name, the game date and your concern. We review your request as Terms Section 6.5 describes and may also pass it to the team's coaches, who can delete the recording.
**Schools.** When a school uses Football Play Card, we process the student records it provides, such as rosters and contact details, on the school's behalf and only to provide the Platform. We do not sell them, use them for targeted advertising or use them to train AI models, and we delete them when the school asks. Videos a school's teams upload or record may be used to train our AI features as Section 3 describes; a school can ask us to exclude its teams' videos by emailing privacy@footballplaycard.com.
**4.6 Legal and safety.** We disclose information when the law requires it, to protect anyone's safety, and to investigate fraud or abuse. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as federal law requires.
**4.7 Business transfers.** If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy for information collected under it.
### 5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies to keep you signed in and secure, understand how our website and apps are used, record how pages are used so we can fix problems with all on-screen text hidden, provide support chat, and measure and target our ads (Section 4.4). Player, Parent/Guardian, Family & Friend and Fan accounts carry no advertising or session-recording tools, and our mobile apps carry no ad pixels. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some features may not work without them. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our apps do not use analytics, session-recording or advertising cookies, and our website uses them only if you accept them. Maps and videos embedded from Google and other services may set those services' own cookies. Our website and apps do not change how they work in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Our current providers are listed on our Sub-processors page.
### 6. Children and Teens
**6.1 Children under 13.** Children may not create accounts. On teams set to Under 13, and for players a Coach marks as under 13, a parent or guardian's account stands in for the player. If we learn that a Child has an account or has given us personal information directly, we delete the account and that information. The Child stays on the team's roster as an entry managed by the Coach and any linked Parent/Guardian.
**6.2 Information adults provide about a child.** Coaches, League Owners and parents may enter limited information about a child player: name, jersey number, positions, team role, a phone number, notes the coach writes (Terms Section 8.3 bars health and other sensitive information), a parent's contact details, and the RSVPs, RSVP comments and quiz answers a parent or Coach enters for the child. Coaches confirm they have told parents and have any consent required (Terms Section 9.2). We use this information only to run the team's features and do not use it to train AI models. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or show it outside the team except as Section 4 describes.
**6.3 Parents' rights.** A parent or guardian may review the information we hold about their child, have it corrected or deleted, and tell us to stop collecting or using it. Contact privacy@footballplaycard.com or write to the address in Section 6.4. We verify that the requester is the child's parent or guardian before acting, and respond promptly. We ask the team's coach to remove names they typed into plays or messages, and remove them ourselves where the law requires it. Deleting a child's information may end the child's place in the team's features on the Platform.

**6.5 Teens.** Users aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian's permission (Terms Section 3.2). Player accounts carry no advertising tools and are never sent to our advertising partners. If you are under 18 and live in California, you may ask us to remove content you posted by emailing privacy@footballplaycard.com. Removal may not erase copies others have made.
**6.6 Video of children.** Game recordings and uploaded clips often show children. Adults on the team make them, they are kept for the team as Section 7 describes, and they are never used for advertising. They may also be used to train our AI features as Section 3 describes. A parent may ask a coach to delete a recording, or email safety@footballplaycard.com, and we review the request as Terms Section 6.5 describes.
### 7. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy: while your account is open and your team uses the Platform, and afterward for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud (including repeat free trials) and enforce our Terms. Content you share with a team stays part of that team's records after you leave the team or delete your account. That includes chat messages someone has deleted, which are hidden from the team but kept so we can investigate safety reports. We permanently delete them 12 months after they were deleted, unless they are part of an open safety report or the law requires us to keep them. When a team is deleted, everything it holds, including its roster, plays, schedule and chat, is permanently deleted 90 days later. Videos a coach deletes, and a deleted team's videos, are permanently removed within about two weeks. Copies in our backups are deleted as the backups expire, within a year. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal details as Section 8.1 describes. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we delete it.
### 8. Your Rights and How to Use Them
**8.1 Delete your account.** Use the form at [footballplaycard.com/delete-account](https://footballplaycard.com/delete-account?hsLang=en) or email privacy@footballplaycard.com. We confirm the request comes from you, then cancel any subscription you bought on our website (no refund for the rest of the period unless the law requires one; cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions in your store settings), replace your name, email, phone and address with "Deleted User" in your account, team rosters, event invitations, messages and our support tools, delete your contact from our email tools, retire your sign-in, and remove your devices and calendar link. Plays, playbooks, teams and messages you created stay with the team, shown as from a deleted user. We keep past invoices and the payment records the law requires; backups age out on their normal schedule.
**8.2 Your rights.** You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may also have other rights, such as objecting to or limiting how we use it, or withdrawing consent you gave.
**8.3 How to make a request.** Email privacy@footballplaycard.com. We verify your identity by confirming control of your account email, or, if you have no account or can't reach that email, by other reasonable means, before we act. You may use an authorized agent, who must show your signed permission. We respond within the time the law requires.
**8.4 Information about players.** For Player Data a team entered, you may ask the team's Coach or ask us. We coordinate with the team, and we act on a parent's or guardian's request about their own child once we verify their authority, as the law allows.
**8.5 No discrimination.** We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
### 9. Notifications, Email and Text Messages
**Push notifications.** We send push notifications about team activity, such as announcements, mentions and schedule changes. They may show the team name, the sender's name and part of the message on your lock screen. Turn them off in your device settings, or mute a team's announcements in the app.
**Email.** We send service emails (invitations, event updates, receipts) that you cannot opt out of while your account is open. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link.
**Text messages.** If you agree to receive texts on one of our forms, we may send you marketing text messages. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We don't share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
### 10. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and a written information security program with incident response procedures. Only staff who need it for support, safety investigations, security or the other uses described in Section 3 can view team messages or videos. We notify affected users and regulators of a breach as the law requires. No system is perfectly secure; keep your password confidential and tell us at support@footballplaycard.com if you suspect misuse.
### 11. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests, including product development, customer service and fraud prevention. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
### 12. International Transfers
We are based in the United States and store information there. If you use the Platform from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States, and some of our providers may process it in other countries (see our Sub-processors page).
### 13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If a change affects information about children, we will notify parents and get any new consent the law requires before applying it.
